Baby girl goes missing in Borabanda

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A 10-month-old baby girl, who was left by her mother in front of her house while going to collect drinking water, disappeared on Monday at Allapur in Borabanda of Sanathnagar.

Family of the baby, Sultana Begum, suspect that the infant could have been abducted after finding her in front of the house located along the main road. The girl's father, Rafiq, an autorickshaw driver, went out on work in the morning. Around noon, the baby's mother, Razia Begum, went to a nearby tap to fetch water and returned after 30 mins. The baby disappeared by then. She searched the neighbourhood in vain and approached the police. “Inquiries revealed that a 5-year-old boy Wasim played with her and left her at the house. The boy is unable to explain if any strangers took away the girl. Efforts are on to trace the girl.
