Singapore downs India

NEW DELHI: Results came on predictable lines with the Singapore girls overpowering India and Malaysia, maintaining its winning run in the Asian youth netball championship at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex here on Tuesday.

Singapore stayed in the second spot after beating India 59-40.

The host remained in the fourth spot. Malaysia stopped Lanka 59-45 to stay atop the league standings while Thailand pushed Hong Kong to the bottom with a 53-44 victory.

The results (round-robin league): Singapore bt India 59-40; Malaysia bt Sri Lanka 59-45; Thailand bt Hong Kong 53-44 .
