Prasonjit upsets Bharat
LUDHIANA: Eighth seeded Prasonjit Paul of Jharkhand defeated the second-seeded Bharat Bhardwaj of Haryana 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the men's quarterfinals of the AITA-ranking tennis tournament organised by the Harvest Academy, Jassowal, on Wednesday.

Men: Vishwesh Sinha bt Shantanu Rajput 6-0, 6-0; Gurinder Singh bt Arjun Singh 6-2, 6-1; Prasonjit Paul bt Bharat Bhardwaj 2-6, 6-3, 6-3; Deepinder Singh Bains bt Suraj Beniwal 7-6(2), 6-7(5), 7-5.
Women: Shweta Rana bt Shalaka Manjunath 6-1, 6-2; Natasha Palha bt Saadgi Rajani 6-1, 6-3; Sharmada Balu bt Rajbir Kaur 6-3, 6-0; Nupur Kaul bt Ravnoor Kaur 6-3, 6-3 .
