Second win for Central Railway

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Central Railway, Mumbai, notched up its second straight win in the Stag all-India women's invitation basketball tournament on Wednesday, beating South Central Railway, Secunderabad, 66-29.

In the men's section, KSEB opened its campaign with a 54-36 win over Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram.

This is Mar Ivanios' second defeat as it had lost to Central Excise 62-75 on Tuesday night.

The results:

Men: Central Excise and Customs 75 (Manoj 28, Subash Shenoy 17, bt Mar Ivanios College 62 (Ajeesh Sugunan 17, Manu Kumar 14, Shan 12)

KSEB 54 (K.R.Nikhil 10, Monish Wilson 10) bt Mar Ivanios College 36 (Jimson 11)

Women: Central Railway 66 (Manisha S.Dange 20, Geesha Varghese 12, M.Beena 10) bt South Central Railway 29 (Marda Meshram 10, K.P.Neethu 10) .
