State badminton from Sept. 22

KOCHI: The FACT Udyogamandal Club will host the Kerala State senior badminton championship at Eloor from September 22 to 26. The State junior championship will be held at Ottappalam in Palakkad from September 16 to 19 while Thiruvananthapuram will host the State sub-junior event from August 25 to 29.

There will three State-ranking tournaments this season and two of them – in Kozhikode (Savithri Saboo memorial) and Kochi (BPCL Kochi Refinery at Ambalamugal) – will be junior events. The SBT tournament in Thiruvananthapuram, in August, will be a senior ranking event.

The Kerala badminton calendar: Savithri Saboo memorial all-Kerala junior ranking tournament (Kozhikode, August 12 to 15), SBT all-Kerala senior ranking tournament (Thiruvananthapuram, August 20 to 22), State sub-junior championship (Thiruvananthapuram, August 25 to 29), BPCL Kochi Refinery all-Kerala junior ranking tournament (Ambalamugal, Ernakulam, September 10 to 13), State junior and veterans championships (Ottappalam, Palakkad, September 16 to 19), State senior and masters championships (Udyogamandal, Ernakulam, September 22 to 26) .
