new beginning:Newly recruited women constables at the passing out parade in Dharwad on Friday. DHARWAD: Inspector-General of Police (Training) S. Parashivamurthy has urged newly recruited women police personnel to understand their responsibilities and duties first so that they could serve people better. He was speaking at the passing out parade of the 15th batch of women police constables at the Police Parade Ground here on Friday. Mr. Parashivamurthy said that the Police Department was providing specially-designed training to the newly recruited personnel and asked them to adopt the skills they had developed during their training while discharging their duties. Expressing happiness over the increasing number of women in the police force, he asked them to work in close association with the people and try to solve their problems. Mr. Parashivamurthy and IGP (North Range) N. Shivakumar gave away awards to K. Pushpa, T. Suma and Netravati who were adjudged the best trainees in various categories. Superintendent of Police D. Prakash administered oath. Deputy Superintendent of Police H.A. Devarahoru proposed a vote of thanks. As many as 133 police personnel participated in the passing out parade.
