KURNOOL: Collector Ramsankar Naik has asked Village Revenue Officers (VROs) to update adangals which is an important document dealing land ownership, cultivation rights, crops, irrigation status, land tax and other data. Addressing the VROs at the refresher course here on Friday, he said upkeep of revenue records had not been proper from 1983. The poor update was causing a lot problems for revenue, agriculture and other departments. Most of the VROs were not recording the crops sown by farmers. He said the Kurnool district administration had embarked upon a great mission of sanitising the revenue records from village level to help farmers and land owners. Senior VROs would be engaged to train the inexperienced VROs in recording the adangals.
