EME records 3-0 win

HYDERABAD: EME Centre recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Hyderabad Sporting in the A-Division Rahim League football championship at Gymkhana Grounds here on Friday.

Armymen took the lead in the 31st min of the match through a 35-yard, long ranger from N. Prajith. Within 10 minutes, Sushil Kumar increased the margin with a solo effort, dribbling his way past a crowded defence and eventually catching the goalkeeper on the wrong foot.

At half-time, EME led 2-0.

In the second session, a measured pass from midfielder Ashok Kumar in the 64 {+t} {+h} minute saw Prajith in action again as the latter made no mistake in slotting the ball in to complete the tally for the winners.

C. Rahul Yadav defeated K. Nagarjuna 21-7 in the boys under-13 singles first round of the Hyderabad District Badminton Association championship at Ameerpet GHMC Sports Complex here.
