Woman constable ends life

TAMBARAM: P.Selvi (29), a woman police constable, committed suicide at her house in West Tambaram on Thursday. Police said she was attached to the All Women Police Station in Tambaram. Her husband is an employee of Metropolitan Transport Corporation and the couple have a two-year-old daughter. Police said Selvi is reported to have quarrelled with her close relatives and this had upset her. She poured kerosene and set herself on fire. Relatives and neighbours rushed her to a private hospital nearby, where she succumbed to burns.
