CET for diploma holders on July 31

Bangalore: The Common Entrance Test to select eligible diploma holders for lateral admission to third semester B.E. course through lateral entry scheme for 2010-11 will be held on July 31.

According to a press release from the Department of Technical Education, the brochure-cum-application form containing the details of entrance test, eligibility criteria and other information will be available at all government polytechnics from July 10.

Candidates belonging to general category will have to pay Rs. 650 for the form and those from SC/STs Rs. 500.

The demand draft for the form should be drawn in favour of The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore.

Details can be obtained from the department's office on Palace Road, Bangalore (Ph.: 22266184, 22266185, 22250657) or from government polytechnics.
