Naidu's challenge to Rosaiah

HYDERABAD: Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday threw a challenge to Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to accompany him to a village in either Guntur or Prakasam to see for himself the poor procurement of ‘Nellore sannalu', a type of fine rice.
Addressing a press conference in the Assembly lobbies, Mr. Naidu said the government left the farmers in the lurch after aggressively encouraging them to raise this paddy crop to cover the gap in demand and supply of fine rice. When the farmers toiled and raised the crop, the government miserably failed to lift the stocks at remunerative price.
