Rakshitha shines
Bangalore: Rakshitha Krishnappa's all-round show (28 not out and three for 16) helped Karnataka snatch a two-run victory over Goa in a South Zone women's tournament match here on Friday.
The scores: Karnataka 99 for six in 21 overs (Rakshitha Krishnappa 28 n.o.) bt Goa 97 for eight in 21 overs (Salma Divakar 38, Rakshitha three for 16).
Hyderabad 131 for nine in 35 overs (Mamtha Kanojia 35, Sangeetha 25, Vilasini three for 27) lost to Tamil Nadu 103 for four in 26 overs (Niranjan 34 n.o.). Tamil Nadu won on the basis of better run-rate.
Kerala 107 in 31 overs (Shani 34, Monika Sai four for 15) lost to Andhra 108 for eight in 30 overs (Rameshwari 43). — Special Correspondent
