The State government has launched the scheme with the objective of instilling civil sense among the students and for training them to provide support to the police in checking crime.

The scheme would be modelled on the National Service Scheme and the National Cadet Corps, Superintendent of Police M.P. Dinesh said.

The schools identified for the project are: Machad Government Higher Secondary School; Pazhanjhi Vocational Higher Secondary School; Irinjalakuda National Higher Secondary School; Thrissur CMS High School; Koratty Mar Augustine Memorial High School; Elthuruthu St. Aloysius High School; Kodungalloor Government Higher Secondary School; and Chelakkara Sreemoolam Thirunal High School.
