PUDUKOTTAI: A new all-women rotary club – Rotary Club of Pudukottai Maharani - was launched here recently. The new club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pudukottai. Purushothaman, Rotary district governor, Rotary international district 3000, inaugurated the new club and handed over the charter to Valliyammai Subramanian, the president of the club. He also installed the new office-bearers.Nasar, president of the Rotary Club, presided over the function.
While Valliayammai Subramanian was installed as president, Princy Immaculate was installed as secretary and Nagammai Senthil as treasurer. Former presidents of the Club were also honoured on the occasion. Replying to the felicitations, Mrs. Valliyammai Subramanian explained the various projects planned by the club for the weaker sections.
