Dravidian University invites nominations for awards

KRISHNAGIRI: Nominations have been invited for the literary and cultural awards by the Dravidian University based at Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh.

A release from Cuddapah Ramannaiah, Vice-Chancellor, says that the university proposes to honour eminent scholars who had contributed for the development of Dravidian languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tulu in Linguistics, arts, fine arts, history, culture, indigenous knowledge systems etc.

Each award carries a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a citation. Nominations should reach the Director, Prasaaranga, Dravidian University, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, Pincode: 517425 on or before July 31, the release adds.
