Futsal title for Bosepukur
KOLKATA: Bosepukur Sitala Mandir beat Ujjal Sangha 3-1 to win the title in the Para Biswa Cup (Community World Cup), a futsal tournament organised by news channel 24 Ghanta here on Sunday.
The tournament followed the structure of ongoing World Cup with 32 community teams representing different nations.
The Bosepukur team that took the name of Slovenia triumphed over Ujjal Sangha that played under the banner of Greece.
Amiruddin Siddique of Bosepukur received the ‘golden ball' being adjudged the man-of-the-tournament.
The results: Final: Bosepukur Shitala Mandir (as Slovenia) 3 bt Ujjal Sangha (as Greece) 1. Semifinals: Ujjal Sangha 3 bt Chiriamore Sarbojonin (as Italy) 2 in tiebreaker; Bosepukur Shitala Mandir 2 bt Jatra Suru Sangha (as Ivory Coast) 1 .
