WARANGAL: Congress candidate for Warangal West Assembly seat Kondapalli Dayasagar Rao urged the voters to choose between development and uncertainty. A vote for Congress meant development, he said addressing several street corner meetings in Kumarpally and other colonies in Hanamkonda town on Sunday. Accompanied by local leaders, Mr Rao visited several colonies and interacted with people knowing their problems. “I am aware that people in these colonies have several complaints. The drainage is not proper, drinking water supply is inadequate and so on. I have a master plan and can bring more funds for addressing these problems. But, I need your mandate,” he told the curious crowds that gathered around. With each passing day, the Congress leaders are intensifying their campaign. Speaking to The Hindu, senior leader GVS Srinivasa Chary said people have trust in the ruling party and were well aware that voting for ruling party would bring in more funds and development. He said TRS was not in a position to bring separate state to the region as being promised since it has no support in the State and at the Centre. He said despite the strong separate Telangana sentiment, the Congress candidate stands for a good chance in the by-elections. According to Srinivasa Chary, people of Warangal West Assembly constituency voted for TRS for three times in the past and did not witness any development. Now, they realised that they should vote for ruling party as they lagged behind on many fronts. “Congress bags this seat which has been elusive for the past two decades,” he asserted.
