Presidency School triumphs

Bangalore: Presidency School defeated Bishop Cotton HS by three wickets to clinch the Cottonian Shield under-17 tournament title here on Monday. Bishop Cotton however had better luck in the under-14 final and defeated St. Joseph's HS by 42 runs.

The scores (finals): Under-17: Bishop Cotton HS 165 for eight in 20 overs (Prithviraj 40, Adithya 34, Aaron 33) lost to Presidency 166 for seven in 20 overs (Sharan 48, Virender 41, Zunaid 27).

Under-14: Bishop Cotton HS 147 for seven in 20 overs (Adithya 39, Rishab 28) bt St. Joseph's HS 105 in 19.5 overs (Hussain 31).

Special awards: Under-17: Batsman: Rakshith (Presidency), Bowler: Adith (Bishop Cotton), All-rounder: F. Aaron (Bishop Cotton), Player of the final: Virender (Presidency); Under-14: Batsman: S. Krishna (St. Joseph's), Bowler: H. Mrinal (Bishop Cotton), All-rounder: Khublagan Jain (Bishop Cotton), Player of the final: Adithya (Bishop Cotton) .
