Court allows Nithyananda's petition

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has allowed a petition by Paramahamsa Nithyananda alias A. Rajasekaran of Ramnagar district, Karnataka, seeking to permit him to implead himself in a writ petition, which sought a CBI enquiry into a complaint against him.

In the order, Justice K.B.K.Vasuki said Nithyananda was a necessary party for effective disposal of the writ petition. Hence, his petition was being allowed.

In his petition, Nithyananda stated the High Court had ordered notice on the writ petition. He had not committed any offence punishable under law.

In order to gain publicity, several persons had filed complaints against him with vague allegations, including the writ petitioner, R. Karthikeyan of Vadapalani.

The writ petition had been filed for CBI investigation for various fictitious, frivolous, false and motivated allegations. The writ petitioner had filed multiple cases against him to get an order from the High Court without even impleading him as party respondent in the litigation.

This approach would clearly show lack of bona fide while approaching the court.
