Training programme on agri-business centres

Guntur: A training programme on strengthening agri-business centres was conducted at Vignan University by School of Management Studies on Thursday.

More than 200 farmers representing 20 agri-business centres of Guntur and Prakasam districts attended the programme.

Chancellor Lavu Rathaiah explained the objectives of the programme and said that that the programme was aimed at strengthening the functioning of the agri-business centres and the help farmers in achieving the purpose.

The programme was sponsored by Baif Institute for Rural Development (BIRD) and Indian Tobacco Corporation (ITC).

Representatives of BIRD Siva Rudrappa, Dhruva Narayan Mukherjee, Officer of Social Responsibility and BIRD Prakasam district coordinator Bhupal Reddy were present.
