NEW DELHI: The Union government on Thursday constituted a search-cum-selection committee for appointment of heads of BSNL and MTNL. The selection process will be completed within a month.
Headed by Cabinet Secretary K.M. Chandrasekhar, the committee comprises Secretary (Personnel) Shantanu Consul, Secretary (Telecom) P.J. Thomas, IIT-Chennai professor Ashok Jhunjunwala, IIM-Ahmedabad professor Sameer Barua and IISC-Bangalore professor N. Balakrishnan.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology A. Raja has approved the constitution of the committee.
