House burgled

VISAKHAPATNAM: Gold ornaments weighing five tolas were stolen in a house-breaking incident at CBM Compound. Ram Nivas Jain along with his family was away from the city for a week and returned to the city on Friday. He was shocked to find the lock on the door broken and on going inside he noticed the gold ornaments kept in the almyrah stolen. Three Town Police are investigating.

Held on cheating charge

A man was arrested on a charge of cheating gullible youth with false job promises.G. Gunasekhar issued duplicate appointment orders in the name of Visakha Dairy to two youths. The victims paid Rs.25,000 each to the accused. When they went to the Dairy on the appointed day, the Dairy authorities told them that the appointment orders were fake. Gajuwaka Police are investigating.

Boy missing

A boy is missing from his hostel at Peda Waltair. P. Siva, 8, a deaf and dumb boy was admitted to the Santhi Ashram hostel for the deaf and dumb on July 12. He left the hostel on July 15. His father Suryanarayana lodged a complaint with the Three Town Police. In another case, V. Rajeswari, 23, a married woman was missing from her home at China Gadhili since July 1. Her father Narasimha Murthy lodged a complaint on Friday. Two girls of the Observation Home for Girls, Sagar Nagar, are missing from the home since July 14. Superintendent of the Home K. N. Bhagiradhi lodged a complaint with the P.M. Police.
