KARIMNAGAR: The town reverberated with drum beats and dances by enthusiastic youth as various communities took out Bonalu processions here on Sunday. The Gangaputra community took out a procession from Circus grounds to Ujwala park. The womenfolk in their best attire bought the colourfully decorated bonalu from their houses to the Circus grounds. The youth carrying fishing nets led the procession. Minister for Higher Education D. Sridhar Babu, Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Mayor D. Shankar and others participated in the bonalu pujas. The Goud community also took out a procession from Kaman crossroads to the Renuka Yellamma temple on the outskirts at bypass road.
