Protest over Naidu's arrest

Mahabubnagar: Protest demonstrations by TDP activists against the arrest of party president N. Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders by Maharashtra government continued in the district on Sunday also.

The TDP activists organised protest demonstrations in all the towns in the district. In Nagarkurnool town, protestors took out a rally and submitted a memorandum to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the town. In Achampet town, the TDP activists took out a motorbike rally and raised slogans against Maharashtra government. At Alampur, the agitators burnt the effigy of Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chauhan. Sangareddy Reporter adds: TDP workers across the district held protests at Sadasivapet, Sangareddy, Ramayampet, Medak, Toopran, Gajwel and other areas.

Traffic was stalled for some time at many places due to the protest. They were also planning to make bandh on Monday a grand success.
