Youth on the run falls to death

VISAKHAPATNAM: A youth died when he fell from the terrace of a five-floor apartment complex in Gopalapatnam on Sunday after stealing copper plates and wire from a cell tower. On being chased by the security guards, Bipin Kumar Rawat, 25, jumped from the terrace and died, while his accomplice, Ranjeet Rawat was caught. Later Ranjeet, also aged 25, was handed over to Gopalapatnam police. Both of them hailed from Chapra area of Bihar, Gopalapatnam CI Bhargava Rao Naidu said.

Vehicle auctioning

Vehicles seized by Gajuwaka police in connection with certain crime cases, would be put up for sale at 10 a.m. on July 22. The vehicles included a Maruti car, one auto, two scooters and six motorcycles. Details could be obtained from Gajwuaka police station by contacting 2517033.
