School toppers feted

HYDERABAD: All Saints High School conducted the investiture ceremony for newly elected school cabinet on July 3. GHMC Commissioner Sameer Sharma attended as the chief guest and hoisted the school flag, while Principal Rev.Bro.Shajan Antony administered the oath of office to the new-elects.

School toppers in the SSC examinations were felicitated on the occasion. A former student Madhuri who stood third in the EAMCET exam in the medical stream too was honoured.

Maharishi Vidya Mandir

Students and staff of Maharishi Vidya Mandir celebrated the school's 10 {+t} {+h} anniversary on July 10.

Homam and Vedic chanting were performed along with a group meditation.

The celebrations coincided with the investiture ceremony which was conducted on the same day.

Gyan Bharathi High School

NCC cadets from the Gyan Bharathi High School undertook a cycling expedition to Kolanupaka Jain Temple in Nalgonda, 85 kilometres away from the city.

The rally was flagged off by corporator S.Harivardhan Reddy.

The motto of the trip is to develop moral courage among the cadets with the spirit of self-service and self-help, a press note from the school said.

New Ushodaya High School

New Ushodaya High School was inaugurated at Subhash Nagar in Trimulgherry on May 16.

MP from Malkajgiri Sarvey Satyanarayana, Mayor B.Karthika Reddy attended as chief guests.

Shantiniketan Vidyalaya

Students of Shantiniketan Vidyalaya at Shamirpet elected their representatives who were administered oath of office at an investiture ceremony on July 12.

Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes N.Ashok Reddy attended as the Chief Guest and urged the students to emulate eminent personalities such as Field Marshal Cariappa, C.V.Raman, Rabindranath Tagore and Swami Vivekananda.
