Ambati Rambabu wants suspension kept on hold

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: APCC general secretary Ambati Rambabu, who has been suspended from the party, has urged the party leadership to examine his explanation and keep his suspension in abeyance till that time.

Mr. Rambabu said he was yet to receive a formal letter pertaining to his suspension from the party high command. “The disciplinary committee of the party has given time till July 31 to submit my explanation and I am requesting the party high command to keep its decision pending till that date,” he said adding he would shortly address a letter to AICC general secretary M. Veerappa Moily in this regard.

Mr. Rambabu was served a show cause notice by the APCC disciplinary action committee following his remarks against Chief Minister K. Rosaiah. He sought some time for furnishing his version, but the high command announced his suspension.
