Srikrishna panel's tour of Telangana after bypoll

VIZIANAGARAM: The Justice Srikrishna Committee for consultation on the situation in Andhra Pradesh has said that the panel will submit its report to the government one day before the deadline of December 31, 2010. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Justice Srikrishna said that the people of Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts had come out boldly and honestly expressed their views before the committee members.

The team would visit Telangana districts after the byelections to the Assembly in order to arrive at a conclusion. –Correspondent

V.K. Duggal, member-secretary, said that the intention of the committee was to visit as many villages as possible and gather inputs from various segments of society in the State. To a question, he said about 80,000 representations had so far been received.
