Four-wkt. win for City XI

BANGALORE: S.L. Akshay grabbed four wickets and Sadiq Kirmani remained unbeaten on 42 as City XI defeated Combined XI by four wickets in a Shafi Darashah Trophy tournament match which concluded at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Thursday. City XI won with a day to spare.

The scores: Combined XI 241 in 58.4 overs and 213 in 55.5 overs (Nitin Bille 69, Udit Patel 42 n.o., Sudhindra Shinde 36, S.L. Akshay four for 55) lost to City XI 326 in 98 overs and 129 for six in 47.2 overs (Sadiq Kirmani 42 n.o.); Bangalore Zone 354 in 97.1 overs vs President's XI 247 for five in 84 overs (Sunil Raju 78, Devraj Patil 64 n.o., Stuart Binny 47 n.o., C. Raghu 42, Aditya Sagar three for 38) .

Srinivas scalps four

Medium-pacer D. Srinivas (four for four) bowled Young Cricketers to a facile 148-run win over NCC ‘B' in a Sri Gopalaswami memorial Group ‘H' league tie.

The scores: Young Cricketers 212 for eight in 37 overs (Revanth 65, Krishnakumar 57, R.L. Daljeeth three for 46) bt NCC ‘B' 64 in 24.5 overs (D. Vikram shines

Vikram Singh's all-round show (25 and four for 10) helped KHS Adarsh HS defeat Sri Kumaran's Children Home by 12 runs in a B.T. Ramaiah Shield under-14 tournament match here.
