NHRC seeks Centre's reply

NEW DELHI: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought a reply, by August 19, from the Union Home Secretary on a complaint that several persons, including children, were allegedly killed by Central Reserve Police Force personnel in Jammu and Kashmir recently.

In the complaint, Sushobha Barve of the Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation alleged that the “excesses” committed by the CRPF personnel resulted in many deaths and injuries to several others.
