Panasonic opens 19 {+t} {+h} branch in city

Panasonic India managing director Hidenori Asou unveils 32-inch LCD TV with a synthesiser attached to it, on the occasion of opening of new branch in Vijayawada on Friday.

VIJAYAWADA: Panasonic, a leading consumer brand in the country, inaugurated a new branch office in the city on Friday as part of its expansion to strengthen its presence further in tier-two and tier-three cities in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference, Panasonic India managing director Hidenori Asou said that the branch opening would mark the introduction of their new LCD model TV in 32-inch category which would have an offer of a synthesizer till the end of August. To capture more market, the TV model was designed to meet the all-important need of audio quality for Indian consumers.

Hence it was named as “Sound for India” campaign to popularise the TV.

Stating that the coastal region had huge potential, Mr. Asou said, “This city is a significant market for us. Therefore we experience the necessity of a fully equipped branch here.

Almost 40 per cent of the total AP business related to consumer durables comes from coastal belt.

It is also the fast growing market for LCD panels.”
