MiG crash: Death toll rises to three

KOLKATA: The flight data recorder of the MiG- 27 that had crashed at Jorpokhri village in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district on Saturday has been retrieved.

The toll in the crash has risen to three, according to Defence sources.

The jet had taken off from the Hashimara air base on a routine sortie and crashed shortly after killing one person who was working in his field. The other victims included a child.

The Indian Air Force has ordered a court of inquiry into the incident.
