NELLORE: The Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) officials conducted raids on pesticide and rice shops in Gudur and Nellore in the district in the last two days and seized huge quantity of stocks stored illegally. The sleuths raided on Ravindra Agro Centre, Gudur, and found stock variation and other discrepancies. The police seized pesticides bags, worth about Rs.2.80 lakh. The officials also raided on several rice shops in Nellore and seized illegal stocks worth some lakh of rupees. Cases were booked against the shop owners and investigation is on, said V&E SP (Nellore zone) K.V. Mohana Rao.
