SASTHAMCOTTA: Off-spinner Ashwathy grabbed six for eight as Thiruvananthapuram defeated Ernakulam by 10 runs and entered the semifinals of the State women's under-19 cricket tournament at the DB College ground on Wednesday. Chasing 116 for a win, Ernakulam batswomen fell to the guiles of Ashwathy and was bundled out for 105. Idukki also entered the semifinal as it got a walkover from Kasaragod which failed to turn up for the match. In the semifinals, Thiruvananthapuram will meet Malappuram while Idukki will meet Kollam. The scores: Thiruvananthapuram 115 for three in 20 overs bt Ernakulam 105 in 18.1 overs (Aailyia 30, Ashwathy six for eight).
