VPT signs pact with West Quay Multiport

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Port Trust on Saturday signed the concession agreement for the project ‘Development of WQ-6 berth in the inner harbour for handling dry bulk cargo' at a cost of Rs.114.5 crore on DBFOT basis for 30 years with the special purpose vehicle West Quay Multiport Pvt. Ltd formed by ABG Infra Logistics Ltd.

The project facilitates handling of bulk cargo such as granite blocks, wooden logs, coking coal and other multipurpose cargo and adds a throughput of 2.08 MTPA to the port traffic.

VPT Chairman Ajeya Kallam, Deputy Chairman GVL Satya Kumar and other officials from VPT and ABG Infra Logistics participated in the function.
