Body of missing youth recovered

Kasaragod: The body of a youth who went missing while taking bath in a river near Neeleswaram in the district on July 4 was recovered on Sunday from the nearby Karyangode river.

A highly decomposed body of V. Girishan  (25), son of Ganeshan, a resident of Vattapoil, was fished out from the river after his relatives identified the body around 1.30 p.m. in the flooded river at Chemmakkara. Girishan, who was taking bath along with his friends in the Mukkada river on July 4, was feared drowned and the search that followed could not yield any results.

The body of the youth was sent for post-mortem to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital.
