Newly-elected MLAs to be administered oath by Speaker N. Kiran Kumar Reddy today Before taking oath, they will pay tributes to Telangana martyrs' memorial at Gun Park HYDERABAD: Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender has been re-elected leader of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) legislature party. His name was announced by Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao after the first meeting of the eleven newly-elected legislators of the party here on Sunday afternoon. Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao will be deputy leader, Koppula Eashwar (Dharmapuri) secretary and E. Ravinder Reddy (Yellareddy) whip of TRS legislature party, Mr. Rao said. He added that Mr. Rajender was chosen as the leader as he had played the role efficiently in the past. All the eleven MLAs will be administered oath by Speaker N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at the latter's chamber in the Assembly on Monday. They will gather at the Gun Park opposite Assembly to pay tributes to the Telangana martyrs' memorial before taking oath. Plea to students In the wake of the alleged suicide by Ishan Reddy on Saturday, the meeting adopted a resolution appealing to students not to resort to the step as it would demoralise Telangana supporters and hamper the movement. Mr. Rao said ending of lives by students goes contrary to what Telangana supporters expect from the movement. By giving the Congress and Telugu Desam a drubbing at the polls, the supporters nursed great expectations that the movement would strengthen but the suicides only left them anguished.
