KHAMMAM: In a shocking incident, a youth allegedly raped a five-year-old girl at a tribal hamlet under Mutyalampadu village in Tekulapalli mandal on Sunday. However, the incident came to the fore on Monday following a complaint lodged by the parents of the victim with the Tekulapalli police. According to sources, G. Santosh, 20, allegedly whisked away the five-year-old girl while she was playing in front of the house of her relative at Kotha Tanda in the afternoon. He allegedly raped the hapless girl at a secluded place, sources added. Tekulapalli police registered a rape case against the youth based on a complaint and shifted the girl to the government area hospital at Illandu for medical examination. The police launched a hunt to nab the accused who is at large. Tekulapalli SI Sambaiah is investigating the case.
