Exams for failed candidates

CHENNAI: Candidates who failed in the higher secondary examination conducted by the Directorate of Government Examinations, Chennai, can apply to reappear.

The September/October 2010 higher secondary examination will only be held under the syllabus introduced during the year 2005- 2006. The examination fee for regular private candidates is Rs.50 per subject and Rs.35 towards other charges. For direct private candidates the examination fee is Rs.150, other charges Rs.35 and oral test fee Rs.2. Application forms can be had from August 9 to 13 in person from Chief Educational Officers, District Educational Officers, Joint Director (Education), Puducherry, Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Cuddalore, Vellore, and Chennai. The filled-in application forms must be submitted on or before August 13.
