VIJAYAWADA: Krishna defeated Guntur by six wickets in the ACA Central Zone under-19 inter-district tournament for Koka Ranga Rao memorial trophy at CSR Sarma College ground at Ongole on Tuesday. Resuming at 145 for eight, Guntur was all out for 174 in 61.2 overs in the second innings.
The scores: Guntur 163 & 174 in 61.2 overs (J. Siva Koteswara Rao 83, T. Narendra five for 48, K. Bhima Rao three for 52) lost to Krishna 146 & 195 for four in 64.5 overs (E. Koutila Kumar Goud 87, K. Krishna Babu 62) .
Mini National archery
The third mini National (under-13) archery championship will be held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada from August 27 to 31, said Krishna District Archery Association president Ch. Satyanarayana here on Tuesday.
SRR & CVR College swimmer M. Tulasi Chaitanya emerged as individual champion in the Acharya Nagarjuna University inter-collegiate competitions that concluded at Sir Vizzi swimming pool here on Tuesday.
M. Tulasi Chaitanya (SRR & CVR), M. Sai Krishna (VRSEC), B. Mohan Bharath (KLCE) and R. Arun Kanth (CBE/ANU) will represent ANU in the all-India inter-university swimming competitions to be held at Kolkata University from August 16.
