The Hindu-Shriram Panorama Hills elocution contest to be organised

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Hindu-Shriram Panorama Hills will conduct an inter-school elocution competition for students of classes 8, 9 and 10, as part of Independence Day celebrations.

Each school can send two students and the preliminary rounds will be conducted in The Hindu office, Seethammadhara on August 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., on the topic ‘Relevance of Gandhian principles in the present context'.

The schools may confirm their participation on or before August 7 to G. Indrani on 0891-2536159/9849498771.

The participants will be allotted three minutes in the preliminary round and five minutes in the final round.

Ten finalists will be chosen and the topic for the finals will be intimated later.

Finals

The finals will be conducted on August 13 at 2.30 p.m. at VUDA Children's Theatre, Siripuram.

Shriram Panorama Hills is a project of Shriram Properties of Shriram Group.

It will be the first skyscraper of Vizag, located on the foothills of the scenic Yendada-Madhurawada region of Visakhapatnam.

The gated residential community is spread over 80 acres and comprises 231 villas, over 2,310 apartments, shopping mall, with provision for luxury hotel and international school.

Open spaces

It has about 80 per cent open space, 14 parks, three clubhouses, perennial waterfall, 23.4 acres of landscaping, five km. of jogging tracks, valley view points, avenue plantation and drip irrigation system.

Jurong Consultants (India) Pvt. Ltd., subsidiary of Jurong International, Singapore, are the architects, structural designers and quality managers of the project.
