Saina Nehwal felicitated

HYDERABAD: The United Club Secretaries, representing secretaries of different clubs of Hyderabad Cricket Association, presented a purse of Rs.1.10 lakh to Saina Nehwal as a token gesture in recognition of her outstanding achievements in world badminton.
The UCS office-bearers Naresh Sharma and Chitti Sridhar presented the cheque to Saina at a felicitation function here on Wednesday night. Later, G. Vinod, president of HCA, also announced a cash incentive of Rs. 1 lakh on behalf of Visakha Charitable Trust to the champion player.
Former HCA secretary P.R. Man Singh presented a memento.
Saina, in her reply to the felicitations, remarked that these kind of functions motivate any sportsperson and that she was grateful to the UCA for organising the very touching function.
