NEW DELHI: The Indian Boxing Federation (IBF) has made it mandatory for all boxers to have identity cards in order to participate in any National, State or board championship. As per instructions received from the Union Sports Ministry, the IBF has asked all its affiliated units to submit the data about all the boxers who wish to take part in the above mentioned championships. The boxer must provide all information in the proper format and give his/her proof of birth issued by either the municipality or the panchayat. The information must be attested by the Chief Medical Officer of the area concerned. After examining the documents, IBF will issue the identity card. The process of issuing of identity cards to the boxers would be completed before the National championship next year. — Principal Correspondent
