‘Tenders for sand auctions soon'

KAKINADA: Joint Collector K. Sasidhar has said that tenders will be called soon for sand reaches and related packages in the district. In a statement here on Thursday, he said that he had discussed at length with members of sand committees regarding the existing problems in various sand reaches.
Notification would be issued soon to conduct auction for Vemagiri-Kadiyapulanka reach, whereas an inquiry was ordered into the problem related to transportation of sand at Atreyapuram reach, he said.
Auction would be conducted for the sand reaches, for which clearance had been given by the departments concerned, Mr. Sasidhar said.
