Officials' meet with Gollapudi ryots today

VIJAYAWADA: The district administration has decided to hasten the process of acquisition of an ambitious 600 acres of land at Gollapudi in public-private partnership mode with local farmers so that many important projects like housing for the poor under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and the long-awaited super speciality hospital are taken up.

District Collector Peeyush Kumar on Thursday reviewed the status of the acquisition of land with the officials. He instructed the officials to convene a meeting with all the farmers of the village at the Sub-Collector's conference hall on Friday to expedite the process.

He assured the farmers that all civic amenities and infrastructure would be developed in their share of lands too.
