Tirupur: Mayor K. Selvaraj inaugurated a three-day Knit Show-2010 organised by City Leaves Media Events Private Limited here on Friday.

The show features wide range of products from apparel accessories, printing inks and fabrics to machineries used for knitting, printing and compacting, among others.

About 500 exhibitors from India and foreign countries like Italy, Turkey, South Korea, United States, China and Japan were taking part in the event.

H. Krishna, director of City Leaves Media Events Private Limited, said that the event was scheduled in such a manner to suit both the sourcing season and the development activities taking place in the Tirupur knitwear cluster.

Feedback

“From the feedback obtained from the industry in the last nine editions of the show, we have decided to showcase some of the new products like discharge table for printing process, among others, this year that would suit the needs of apparel manufacturers in the cluster,” he added.

According to Mr. Krishna, the fair will be extending a platform to expand client base for the textile industrialists who constitute the entire marketing chain.

Consulting companies looking to network with Indian companies for overseas market expansion were also present at the fair.
