“Run Chendur Express daily”

MADURAI: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers M.K. Alagiri has sought the running of Chennai-Tiruchendur-Chennai Chendur Express on all days. The Minister submitted a memorandum to Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee. The operation of Chendur Express as a weekly train affected the pilgrims coming from Chennai to the famous Sri Subramaniaswamy Temple at Tiruchendur.

He also sought stoppage of the Tuticorin-Mysore and Nagercoil-Coimbatore Express trains at Ambathurai near Dindigul.
