CMDA seals building on Anna Salai

CHENNAI: Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority on Friday sealed a building on Anna Salai for violations.
According to a release, the owner of the building bearing old No. 635 and new No. 318, Anna Salai, Thousand Lights, had obtained planning permission on May 5, 2009, from the Chennai Corporation to construct “stilt floor (parking) plus two floors (office).” In contravention of the approved plan, the owner had constructed a ground plus two floors and third floor part commercial building. The deviated building involves unauthorised additional floor and violates rules pertaining to Floor Space Index, setback, parking and street alignment/road widening.
