Chess
KOCHI: The Kerala State sub-junior chess championship for boys and girls will be held at the Kunhali Marikkar School of Marine Engineering, CUSAT, from August 13 to 15. The event will be jointly organised by the Cochin University Chess Club and Chess Association Ernakulam. Players, born on after January 1, 1995 are eligible to take part. The top four in each category will represent Kerala in the sub-junior National in Delhi in September. Cash prizes will be given to the top ten players. Registration closes at 2 p.m. on August 13 and the first round will begin at 4 p.m. the same day. For further details, contact Chess Association Ernakulam Secretary M.S.
