JAIPUR: The cooperative societies in Rajasthan have supplied about 1 lakh tonnes of urea to farmers for the kharif crops, while 12 rakes supplied by Indian Potash Limited and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers Limited are likely to reach here shortly. According to Registrar of Cooperative Societies Mukesh Sharma, the cooperative institutions have been authorised to purchase additional quantities of urea from Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited and Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited to meet supplementary demand in specific regions. Mr. Sharma, while reviewing the availability of urea following good monsoon rains across the State, said IFFCO would be supplying 20,000 tonnes of urea to different parts of the State in August alone, while KRIBHCO would concentrate on Chittaurgarh, Alwar and Jodhpur districts.
